Google Web Labs at the Science Museum
Google unveiled the Web Lab at the Science Museum in London. Paid for entirely by Google the exhibition consists of five experiments that help us to "discover the power of the internet while we're on the internet.
Displayways graphic production and installation included, digital printing to metal panels, stencilling and screen printing on site, floor graphics and digitally printed wallpaper.

Grand Egyptian Museum
The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), located near the Giza Pyramids in Cairo, Egypt, is the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization. Envisioned as a cultural hub, GEM showcases Egypt's vast and rich heritage, with over 100,000 artifacts spanning 7,000 years of history.
A highlight of the museum is the full display of King Tutankhamun's treasures, including many items that were previously unseen by the public. The museum's design incorporates a stunning triangular structure inspired by Egypt's pyramids, with panoramic views of the Giza Plateau.

Hampton Court Palace
The Empress and the Gardner Exhibition. The exhibit marks the 300th anniversary of Capability Brown’s birth. The Empress and the Gardener – exploring the famous English gardener’s surprising influence on the Russian Empress, Catherine the Great, who collected watercolours of the gardens featuring images of the celebrated landscapes Brown worked on across England.

Imperial War Museum
Displayways has been working for the Museum for decades and in that time has produced the graphic dressing, signage and wayfinding for many of the exhibitions and permanent gallery spaces some of the installations are shown here.
One recent example was Real to Reel: A Century of War Movies a new major exhibition that goes behind the scenes of some of this century’s iconic war films that have captured the imagination of cinema-going audiences across the generations.

John Randle Centre, Nigeria
The John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, located in Onikan, Lagos, Nigeria is a cultural hub celebrating Yoruba heritage while fostering community engagement. Originally the site of a public swimming pool established in 1928 by Dr. John Randle, the facility has been transformed into a modern complex featuring a 1,000-square-meter exhibition gallery, library, outdoor theatre, performance spaces, and recreational amenities.
The project, commissioned by the Lagos State Government, is part of an urban regeneration effort aiming to revitalize public spaces, promote Yoruba culture, and boost tourism.

Arctic at the British Museum
From ancient mammoth ivory sculpture to modern refitted snow mobiles, the objects in this immersive exhibition revealed the creativity and resourcefulness of Indigenous Peoples in the Arctic.
Displayways produced and installed all graphics and signage including floor graphics and stencilling.
Brú na Bóinne
Brú na Bóinne, which means the ‘palace’ or the ‘mansion’ of the Boyne, refers to the area within the bend of the River Boyne which contains one of the world’s most important prehistoric landscapes. It is located close to the east coast of Ireland approximately 40 km north of Dublin city.The state of the art, immersive visitor experience focuses on the monuments of the World Heritage Property during the Neolithic period.
It transports visitors back 5000 years to the pinnacle of passage tomb building when Brú na Bóinne contained some of the largest buildings in the world.Displayways were contracted to produce all signage and graphics including some specialist backlit displays
Electronic at the Design Museum
Evoking the experience of being in a club, the exhibition transported vistiors through the people, art, design, technology and photography that shaped the electronic music landscape.
Displayways were commissioned to produce all graphics and signage throughout the exhibition including some innovative use of wall art using inks that illuminate under blacklight.
Barbie
Ruth and Elliot Handler founded Mattel Creations in 1945, and 14 years later, Ruth gave the world the Barbie doll. The inspiration for Barbie came as Ruth watched her daughter Barbara playing with paper dolls. The enduring icon that is the Barbie Doll is still going strong today.
Recently Displayways were asked to produce the displays for a Barbie “Pop Up” store. The scope of work included, branded plinths, cut acrylic letters and logos, large format graphics and construction of set pieces.

Hans Christian Andersen Museum Denmark

Lost Worlds Doha
The groundbreaking temporary exhibition Lost Worlds held in Doha, Qatar, featured dinosaur remains, meteorites and fossils as well as natural history-related artwork by internationally renowned artists such as James Audubon, Elizabeth Butterworth and William Hart. Curated by the Natural History Museum in London.

Lowther Castle
One of the oldest arms-bearing families in the country, the Lowthers trace their origins back to Dolfin, descendant of a Viking settler, who arrived here in 1150. It was Dolfin who is said to have named the river Lowth-a (foaming water) – hence the family name.
Three principal dwellings have come and gone since that first settlement and today, the Estate is presided over by the ruined Lowther Castle – a Gothic building completed in 1812, deroofed in 1957 and today, a thriving and prize-winning visitor attraction. Displayways were Commissioned by Jim Lowther to produce all graphics, wallpapers, signage, banners and wayfinding throughout the visitor centre.

London Transport Museum
By conserving and interpreting the Capital city’s transport heritage, London Transport Museum offers people an understanding of the Capital’s past and
engages them in the debate about its future. London Transport Museum is a great visual experience that utilises large format print combined with great design to best effect. The displays use an unusual combination of angled metalwork, large format graphics, lighting and inlaid digital screens to great effect.

Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum is on the most visual experiences in London. The museum has a great vision to advance our knowledge of the natural world, inspiring better care of our planet and as such it is continually changing and creating new displays and exhibitions.

Museum of London
Picking up on the current trend and interest in Pirates the Museum of London recently created the Pirates Exhibition. Focusing on the legendary privateer
turned pirate, Captain Kidd, the exhibition reveals the surprising truth of how London’s corrupt political activities were entrenched in piracy. The launch date also coincides with the anniversary of Captain Kidd’s execution on 23 May 1701 in Wapping. Displayways were proud to be appointed as the graphics suppliers and produced large format digital prints, digital wallpaper, acrylic panels incorporating Braille, canvas graphics and various direct prints to solid media.

Robots at Science Museum
Robots took visitors on an incredible journey spanning five centuries, illustrated with robotic artefacts from around the globe. Visitors could watch as 16 mechanical forms sprung to life and even interact with some of the robots on display.

Royal Botanic Gardens Kew COP 26 installation
If plant life stops, all life stops.
But Kew are not going to let that happen. We've only just scratched the surface of what plants and fungi can do. Now it's time to protect them and fight against biodiversity loss to ensure the future of food security, medicine and clean air.
Kew’s Cop 26 installation showcased their approach, why nature matters, and how Kew is working to protect global biodiversity.

Royal Artillery Museum
Firepower, the Royal Artillery Museum in Woolwich tells the powerful and dramatic story of artillery, scientific discoveries made through warfare and
human stories of courage and endeavour. Working with set works contractor Benchworks Displayways produced several graphic solutions using specialist large format printing techniques to create digital photographic panels of high quality. Additionally, clear graphics were applied to showcases to combine with great lighting to create different visual effects.

Rubin Museum of Art – Mandala Lab Travelling Exhibition
Presented as part of the London Design Festival. The Mandala Lab is an interactive installation inspired by Buddhist principles, the lab features five thought-provoking, experiences, including videos accompanied by scents, a sculpture, and percussion instruments that guide you along an inner journey of sight, smell and touch. The installation is designed to inspire connection, empathy, and learning.

Based at the heart of Southampton, SeaCity Museum tells the story of the people of the city, their fascinating lives and historic connections with Titanic and the sea. The experience is designed to bring maritime history to life through an interactive experience designed for all ages.

Showtown Visitor Centre – Blackpool UK
Showtown, Blackpool's first museum, celebrates the town's rich history of entertainment and cultural heritage. Located in the heart of this iconic seaside destination, the museum invites visitors to explore Blackpool's legacy as the UK's entertainment capital. It features vibrant, interactive exhibitions showcasing themes such as comedy, magic, circus, dance, and the glitz of Blackpool's famous illuminations.

SITA Visitors Centre
Following extensive research and a detailed tendering process, Suffolk County Council signed contracts with SITA UK to build and then run an energy-from-waste facility to deal with the county’s waste for the next 25 years. The partnership has created a visitor centre that showcases how waste is dealt with and how the energy-from-waste process can be harnessed. It has been designed as a state of the art centre, promoting the three R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle) and not forgetting the fourth R – recover, how the energy from waste can generate electricity.
Design Map, were commissioned to develop the visitor centre and contracted Displayways to produce displays and graphic dressing that were produced from recycled cardboard layered to create the 3D shapes.

The Higgins Art Gallery & Museum
The Higgins Bedford unites on one site three previous cultural venues: Cecil Higgins Art Gallery, Bedford Museum and Bedford Gallery. As a result of a £4.3m redevelopment project The Higgins Bedford has been transformed to feature new exhibition galleries.
Working with Design Map Displayways was contracted to produce all graphics, signage and wayfinding.
Credits: The redevelopment project has been made possible by £3.2 million funding from Bedford Borough Council, as well as a grant of £959,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund, £100,000 from the Trustees of the Cecil Higgins Art Gallery, £500,000 from the Wixamtree Trust, £500,000 from the Harpur Trust, £350,000 from the Monument Trust, and £200,000 from Charles Wells Ltd, in addition to funding from a number of other sources.

WWII & Holocaust Permanent Galleries
IWM London’s new Second World War Galleries display over 1,500 collection items that bring to life a war which affected millions of people.
Dedicated to conserving, displaying, and interpreting stories of the most devastating conflict in human history, IWM London is the first museum in the world to house Second World War Galleries and The Holocaust Galleries under the same roof. These galleries change the way we understand the past.
Spanning two floors, these vast galleries bring together the stories of real people from diverse communities to examine the complex relationship between the Holocaust and the course and consequences of the Second World War.

Glenlivet Whisky Distillery Visitor Centre
Glenlivet is one of the oldest whisky distilleries in Scotland and its owners Pernod Ricard set about creating a full visitor and tasting experience involving a complete refurbishment of the site and its warehouse.
Working from an initial concept created by designers Blacksheep, Displayways produced final visuals and specified and sampled all the materials and finishes used. We produced and installed a huge variety of graphic elements from inidivually patinated copper signage, to bespoke stencilling on barrels and complex illuminated CNC art pieces.
All finishes and specifications were permanent and luxury quality. Our install team brought it all together on site with joinery, AV operations and paint stencilling.
