Cracking Knuckles, designing the ultimate bowling alley
The production team for the live action event series 'Knuckles' wanted a bowling alley that was more than just a place to knock down pins. They wanted a space that would spark imaginations and wow young minds. That's where Displayways came in.
We worked closely with the designers to create custom carpets that weren't just functional but also a feast for the eyes with intricate patterns, textures, and colours that brought the world of 'Knuckles' to life.
But we didn't stop there. We also designed and produced custom UV graphics for the walls and screens, featuring iconic cut-out characters and landscapes. On the set, it felt like you were stepping into a real-life episode of the show.
The result was a bowling alley that struck all the right chords. Not just a backdrop but an eye-catching showstopper in its own right.

Beetlejuice Setting the stage (and the floors) for Tim Burton’s 2024 epic
How do you create flooring that’s not only visually stunning but also durable enough to withstand the stomping of a bio-exorcist and the antics of a mischievous ghost? You call in Displayways of course! With swirling patterns, eerie glows, and enough slime to fill a thousand bathtubs, the requirement was to create a series of different floors for Beetlejuice 2024 that were as outlandishly spooky as the characters themselves.
The brief was simple. The design team wanted ultra cool, ultra durable printed lino floors that would make even the most seasoned poltergeist do a double take. And as always, we delivered. Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder’s characters looked right at home on our floors, and as for Danny DeVito, his every step was sheer slapstick genius.
Proof that even the most outrageous characters deserve flooring as extraordinary as themselves.

Mission Impossible 7 - Bringing an airport terminal to life for the big screen
One of the joys of Mission: Impossible is the larger-than-life action sequences – and the even more impressive locations they take place in. In one scene, the new Midfield Terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport – takes centre stage. But as the terminal was still in construction when the cast and crew arrived in 2021, the production team had the challenge of making the terminal look like one that was fully functioning.
To achieve authenticity, the team researched real international airports, with the aim to ensure the terminal in MI7 felt genuine and the signage was carefully considered to enhance the overall aesthetic.
Working on a movie like Dead Reckoning (Part 1) gave us such a buzz and, as always, we wanted to deliver the best possible results. By incorporating familiar details and staying true to the essence of a real airport, we were able to create an authentic working airport terminal, complete with flight information, wayfinding, identifying amenities and airport advertising to elevate the film's visual impact.

Gentleman of Moscow - Art Nouveau Carpet Design and Printing
David Alba, Graphic Designer and the talent behind the carpet designs said: "Designing the art nouveau carpet for ‘A Gentleman in Moscow’ felt like facing the final boss of carpet design!"
He adds "When I read the script, I envisioned this room as the space where Anna Urbanova begins her transformation, just as the Count’s attic was for @vimolero . Her transformation needed to be as intimidating as she is, yet welcoming—just like every big life change, tempting but frightening."
He goes on to say "I decided to take this challenge one step further by adapting the flow of the design to fit our dressing plan, creating that unique, cohesive feeling for the room. With some sketches and a meticulously curated palette by our brilliant set decorator Ussal Smithers this room felt like a dream.
Thank you to the guys on @displaywaysfilmandtv for helping me out to achieve this result✨"
Aswell as carpet printing, we also produced different wallpapers, theatre canvas prints and vinyl.
